THE LIGHT TABLE PROJECT: ONE OF THE TOP 10 HIGHEST TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS |
|
When we released our first blog post about Light Table back in April, it was just a new concept for an IDE. Thanks to the community, our concept was pushed to become a reality. You all helped spread the word about the future of tools and made Light Table the most funded software technology project ever on Kickstarter.
With 7,317 backers and over $316,000, we reached our stretch goal to include Python in our final release. It has been a humbling experience to see such an outpour of excitement, and we sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support.
KODOWAWe are a small SF-based team of some of the best and brightest in the industry. |

![]() ELEGANTadj. - (of a scientific theory or solution to a problem) Pleasingly ingenious and simple. We believe this is how your software should be. |
![]() DESIGNThe design of the thing is the thing. A lot of software ignores this, but we think it's one of the most important parts of the experience. |
![]() GRASS ROOTSWe are not a huge corporation. The community is as much a part of our projects as we are, because none of us are as smart as all of us. |
![]() PASSIONWe have a vision for the future and we want to actively help mold it. Our measure as a company is what kind of impact we can have on the world around us. |
![]() Chris GrangerCO-FOUNDERChris grew up as part of the Nintendo generation, having learned the parts of a computer at the age of two, and numbers and colors from a Sesame Street game on the NES. He started programming at the age of ten and became a professional developer at 17. |
Robert AttorriCO-FOUNDER
Robert has been an engineer since the day he was born, with a penchant for taking things apart to figure out how they work and putting them back together. He is a bioengineer by training, with a background in tissue engineering and orthopedic stem cell research. There is nothing he cannot fix with duct tape.

First and foremost, we're looking for inventive, smart people. The world is playdough and you're out to shape it. You believe that what we're doing isn't simply a matter of making some programmers more efficient, but instead enabling people to have an impact on their own. We're looking for folks who have proven they can build beautiful things and have the creativity to imagine what the future might look like.
These are the people who want to be a part of the community and help direct the the craft of programming. You learn fast, and thrive in an environment that is constantly evolving as we learn more about the problems we're solving. And ultimately, you want to have fun while making a real difference in the world.
